Bluetooth: Car Kit only sees A2DP, not HFP

Well I’m glad that things have improved.

However, Music (A2DP) is specifically NOT what this thread is about.

Can you report improvements of HFP as well?

I’m not on Koli yet so can\t test.

Hi Nephros, sorry for mixing up things (A2DP and HFP). I never had big problems with HFP, not in version 3.4. I just tested this morning for you. Telephone connects, contact list is synchronized, recently called list as well. Voice recognition works, so the commands 'dial contact, etc. works). Also volume adjustment during calls from steering wheel. But if it is better compared to 3.4 is hard to say in my situation.

Thanks for testing! That sounds promising, but we’ll see

I have a similar problem with my Mercedes-Benz MY 2006. I can start and receive calls, but the phonebook is not synced and I cannot use the search in the radio (Audio20). I have to go through the phone to start a call.

Any ideas?

Excellent: clearing /var/lib/bluetooth/cache contents also resurrected my X10II’s suddenly lost ability to play A2DP music through Dynavin N7-PC car unit :tada: :+1: :christmas_tree:
