Automatic time zone update still shows wrong country

OS VERSION: 4.5.0.16
HARDWARE: Sony Xperia 10 II
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION: A long term existing bug.

DESCRIPTION:

Time and Date settings shows Finland if I select “Automatic time zone update” or “Automatic update”

PRECONDITIONS:

Remove SIM card @pherjung) if you have one inserted. I don’t have a SIM.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

As above, go to settings/time and date and check, uncheck both options. If you live in Finland, this is pointless trying!

EXPECTED RESULT:

For my country time zone to show/stay selected when either automatic options are checked

ACTUAL RESULT:

Shows Finland time zone…I’m in Spain!

I’m unable to reproduce it. I suppose your phone has an Internet connection over mobila data or WiFi.

Yes, wifi only, but this problem exists on my Jolla1 which has an active SIM.

It indeed seems connected to SIMlessness.
Can repro on my 4.5 XC.

I bugged this previously. My 10 iii didn’t change form Australia to Thailand.
