About the LED on the Jolla Phone 2026

I think your point of view is wrong. You are giving me the idea that a person’s way of speaking here should now be forced into a pattern, as if it were a rule. In my opinion, that is very wrong.

Some people may want to write in detail, some may pour out their excitement, and some may write briefly just to get a yes or no answer. It is just like when talking to artificial intelligence: if it is talking too much, you say “summarize it.” But there is no such rule on this forum.

In my opinion, a free platform should have a free forum. It is not our place to criticize anyone’s writing style. Some people write long messages. Maybe that person’s ideas may seem very absurd to you, but an idea is still an idea. So I think it is a mistake for us to judge them from such a superior position.

The idea you wrote may seem ridiculous to some people. I think that is probably the reason why they are criticizing it here. To me as well, this feature is unnecessary, but I honestly do not have the right to judge you. I respect the features you want. There is a truth people mention: tastes and colors are not to be argued about. =)

I think this became a topic maybe 2 or 3 days ago, and I explained it then. It really does seem likely that it could turn into a toxic community. Luckily, I have experience on the Linux PC side, so I can usually understand these kinds of arguments. They feel normal to me now. I think you also notice some things beforehand.

Guys, please. On topic! If you need to debate there are many other options.

And some speak quite frankly about their feelings on people polluting the forum with WoT repeating the same stuff over and over again. So we all should be more tolerant and keep in mind that this forum is a place for all of us.

My view is right given that you specifically had dozens of people telling you this for months now.
These back to back messages written by AI also amplify my point.
I understand that you don’t know what AI spits out given that you don’t know the language, but you should at least trust the people who read the messages.

Anyway, back to LED.
The phone has one, it’s in the notch, use it or ignore it, end of story. Let’s all enjoy this beautiful day now.

The thing that is not right in your point of view is this: yes, the person here wrote a very long message and told us something. If you look carefully, they could have explained it in a very unpleasant way too.

The reason I assume your point of view is not correct is that, because you said this, next time they may want to express themselves clearly and beautifully again, but when they remember you, they may think something like “it is better to write briefly.”

Because I think that one sentence you said could lead to a situation where they can no longer express themselves clearly again, and from now on they turn into someone who just asks short questions on forums and leaves, I reject this assumption of yours.

I do not think the forum is being polluted. Everyone is free to express themselves in whatever way they want. Is there such a rule? No.

As I said, everyone is free to express themselves however they want. Of course, we should be tolerant, but we should not see anyone’s way of expressing themselves as rude!

No. With that example I was trying to picture someone that doesn’t know the language and he can barely put some words together. My point was that even with very broken English and short sentences we can still understand each other.

It did not really seem that way to me, I do not know why. But if you are saying that this was the reason why you said those words, then I respect that  .
