Oh! You know, I have thought about this in the beginning. But dismissed the whole idea.
Anyway, after I changed the password to a simple one, containing [A-Za-z0-9] only, the account could be added easily. It’s working.

That’s important if that was the reason.
I recently had a similar (?) problem with copy-pasting passwords: a final carriage return character got pasted as well, not automatically removed.
You posted this like a bug report, but not in the Bug Report category.

Well, thanks, but the mail daemon should not crash anyway, non ASCII character or not. I’ll check that it gets fixed. I’ve already rewritten the authentication part, but I’ll specifically check that it’s fixed.
