Network crashes after missed call, emergency calls only

REPRODUCIBILITY: 50% (sometimes)
OSVERSION: 4.4.0.72
HARDWARE: Sony Xperia 10 II - Dual SIM - xqau52 - xqau52 - 0.0.2.152 - aarch64
UI LANGUAGE: Deutsch (user: de_DE, os: de_DE.utf8)
REGRESSION: yes (since: 4.4.0.68 - aarch64)

DESCRIPTION:

Could not make calls anymore after missing a call. (telefonica/alditalk)

PRECONDITIONS:

Telefonica germany, alditalk, volte is disabled

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Miss a call
  2. Try to call back

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Can call back

ACTUAL RESULTS:

Shows emergency calls only
Despite the title, mobile data works ( can open websites)
It shows 4G in the top bar

MODIFICATIONS:

  • Patchmanager: no
  • OpenRepos: yes
  • Chum: yes
  • Other: no:

Call was around 12:38

Message me for the full log

I dont know what “setting up data call” in the logs mean, but the switch for VOLTE was disabled at 12:40

this should be the relevant general journal output when i try to call now,
I press call and get the notification that only emergency calls are allowed.

This time volte is enabled, mobile data works.

I pressed the restart network button in sailfish utilities, now the telephone app shows no active sim card inserted

same behavior after switching to flightmode

works again after reboot

Thanks for raising this @thigg and for providing logs, and sorry that you’ve been experiencing it.

I’ve created an internal issue for it and tagged it here as “tracked”. I’ll do my best to reply back with any updates.
