[10 III] Assistant button on 10 III doesn't show up camera app if already running

DESCRIPTION:

Since SFOS 4.6, Assistant button on Xperia 10 III can be used for quickly opening camera. However, when the camera app is already running in the background (no matter if launched from app grid or by button), using the assistant button results in vibrating only, and not showing up the camera app.

PRECONDITIONS:

Run camera app and minimize it to background

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Hold Assistant button

EXPECTED RESULT:

Camera app shows up and is ready to use

ACTUAL RESULT:

You can feel vibrating but camera app doesn’t show up.

MODIFICATIONS:

  • Patchmanager: yes (no patches)
  • OpenRepos: yes
  • Chum: yes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Cannot reproduce. Camera app comes to foreground when already running, or is started when not.
Xperia 10 III, SFOS 4.6.0.15.

Seems it was caused by Sandboxing=Disabled I added to Camera desktop file. Totally forgot about this. Reverting Sailjail seems to fix the issue.

for me camera doesn’t start, when phone is locked (on lockscreen too).sandboxing disabled. it’s normal?

maybe need feauture request with customizable assistant button? camera, flashlight, answer/call, …
