Xperia 10 V mobile connection lost until reboot

DESCRIPTION:

After an unspesified time of working mobile internet is lost. Phone shows mobile data is connected but it isn’t.

Restarting the new network subsystem from utilities causes sim not be detected at all and only rebooting phone helps for a while.

Bug only present in 5.1.0.11, not before.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Boot phone and connect to mobile.
  2. Wait
  3. Mobile data lost

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Mobile data works

ACTUAL RESULTS:

It doesn’t

Hmmm, I disabled treat android mobile data as wlan connection and now mobile works again, let’s see for how long

Nope, connection gone again

This is probably an unrelated tidbit. But just confirming you have sony V4b blobs flashed (rather than the V3a blobs that Jolla originally instructed to use)? I have far more reliable mobile data on the V4b blobs than I did on the V3a blobs.

Also, my 10V behaves the same as yours if I use the new utility “restart mobile network subsytem”.

Sorry if this offers nothing. Just thought worth checking.

Yeah, I had similar issue few times. I’ll try to investigate it little bit more when it comes again..

I’ve had the same reoccuring issue on my Xperia 10 III after installing 5.1.0.11. Re-initializing wifi and mobile data subsystems with Sailfish Utilities usually helps.

As a sidenote, I’ve also had major issues with BT after the update as well, but that’s probably due to installing AppSupport Bluetooth beta.
