Xperia 10 II - any problem buying online?

In my quest to switch to SFOS I’ve decided to buy an Xperia 10 II. I saw many prices online and saw that I can find it at 100€ less on eBay. So since I would still have to buy a license and a cover + screen protector I’d like to save some money.

So, are there any incompatibile models of Xperia 10 II?
Any advice you can give me?

Also if this is a bad Idea tell me. I don’t mind unlocking bootloaders and messing around. I use PopOS as maim OS, it should be compatible with the flashing tool from my understanding.

I bought all my Xperia devices on Ebay. Usually that works fine, but there are a few things you need to be careful with:

  • Is the device refurbished? Does it have any defects? Is the screen okay?
  • Be careful about scammers, that take the money but don’t ship you the phone.
  • Verify that the model isn’t SIM and/or bootloader locked. Some devices don’t allow you to unlock the bootloader or use different SIM providers. There are some ways to detect that before buying, I think, but I don’t remember how.

So dual SIM as well as single SIM should be fine.

So far I had no issues with my Ebay devices, but your mileage may vary.
