@Gepardi55 @Alesy2a 0.10.8 is out: if the sound comes from the phone instead of the TV, tap Audio route on the main page (or the second action on the cover while casting) until the TV plays it, and post a diagnostic report afterwards so I can see which route worked for you.

I noticed that one connection attempt actually succeeded at 18:48 and streamed 400 frames at 720p, proving that video encoding works on this device. However, most attempts still fail to establish the RTSP connection due to routing issues (wlan0 vs p2p0) and EAP/WPS disconnects right after P2P group formation. Here is the condensed log:

@Alesy2a Thanks, the 18:48 session is great news – video works on your projector. For the failed attempts I need the unedited report, please: the lines starting with dhcp: lease and net: p2p-p2p0-… matter, and the private addresses in them (192.168.x.x / 10.x.x.x) are safe to post – the report already removes everything personal. It looks like the route to the projector goes via your home Wi-Fi instead of the direct link; the raw lines will tell me why. And did the sound come from the projector in that 18:48 session, or did you need the Audio route button?

After restarting both the Jolla Phone and the projector, it connected on the first try, but the audio isn’t working. Personally, that’s not an issue for me as I don’t even use audio on Android.
@Alesy2a You’ve posted a shortened, rewritten summary instead of the report again. I can’t work with that. The report is built so that it can be posted as is: personal data is already removed, and every line is there for a reason. Your summary drops exactly the values I need and mixes lines from different attempts, so I can’t tell what belongs together.
Sound not reaching the projector is a bug I want fixed, whether you use audio or not, and the audio log in the report is what shows why. Cast with some music playing, tap Audio route through all settings, and please paste the complete report file, unchanged, between two lines of ```.
Gepardi55 managed it, and that’s how the Samsung got fixed.

@Alesy2a Thanks, that’s the one I needed. Two things show up:
- Your projector hands out an odd server address via DHCP, which made the “route via wlan0” line misleading – that part is harmless.
- When the connection works, the projector connects within 0.2 s after Imira starts listening. When it fails, it apparently knocked once a moment too early and never tried again. The next version will listen before the address is even set.
The forum cut your post at 50,000 characters, so the audio part at the end is missing. Please post only the section starting at “===== audio log”, between two lines of ```.

@Alesy2a Thanks. The audio log explains the silence: no app was playing anything during that session, so there was nothing to send.
0.10.9 is out and should fix the connection problem. Please start some music on the phone first, then start casting. After 30s create the report.

@Alesy2a The log looks right on the phone side: the browser’s audio is moved to the cast and sent with a proper level (−12 to −22 dBFS).
Two questions:
- Did you hear the sound from the projector this time?
- Was this 0.10.9, and did it connect on the first try? If you create a report, the lines at the top (version) and the “===== RTSP” section answer this. Please post it between two lines of ```.

Looks like it’s fixed for now. Also audio works. The next version will have a smoother connection handling.

I would like to thank you @JimKnopfIoT for the excellent work done; now Miracast with the projector on my Sailfish device works flawlessly. This is the true Linux spirit that makes me love these operating systems. For someone like me who isn’t a developer, it can seem intimidating, but using it allows to innovate and understand the nature of the technology we use everyday!
