What about an AI badge in Storeman

Apart from subtle bugs in an app that’s made of mostly-AI-generated-and-AI-debugged code, I worry that the ease of creating new apps means the ‘developer’ has invested little time/effort in an app, and so they will feel little concern about abandoning it for the next shiny thing/app.

The solution to most of the above might be:

  1. To require that code be supplied (i.e. use Chum), so people can check the code quality, along with an open source license that allows anyone else to pick-up app & develop it further (if it’s abandoned).
  2. Some way of rating the developers themselves, along with the individual apps. Maybe a dev’s rating would just be the average of the ratings for all their apps? Or perhaps it would be enough to just see the ratings of all apps produced by a dev.

That’s the reason I was moving the point on the trust of review instead who’s doing the writing. We need to know if someone human reviewed the code or not. In the case of a human programmer, he already reviewed the code somewhat, he wrote it or copy/pasted something he read.
The big issue is with code that no one has really validated.

You’re right indeed - No AI badge +1
It’s a start in the right direction and it’s desperately needed concerning the current amount of new vibe coded stuff in the Storeman.

P.S. Ain’t touching any of that sheet (of paper  till I got some time to review the code. Which local LLM would you suggest?

I know for coding is granite and Qwen the best, so I guess for code reviewing they shall work as well.

Is it really so complicated to have such a simple thing!?
Guys, we’ve been overrun by slop! We need solution NOW!

Who do I need to email to?

Edit: Ok, I’ve got the github of the project - there are 3 maintainers there listen:
Olf, pherjung and Dominik Chrástecký a.k.a. RikudouSage - I’ll write them to.
If more ppl do the same, then there must be a way!

The way to handle this usually is to create an issue on the github repository, not email maintainers individually.

Also I suggest you check your attitude.

These things are all done by people voluntarily in their free time. Unless you are willling to do some work yourself, you are in no position to demand anything.

No comment on this! :frowning:

Are you serious about the way of talking to those guys?

@nephros has given you some details, I will not go further

Puh calm down… In the meantime you can read the the apps description on openrepos. Most of them contain a hint about ai use. May help
