Well, if you look it from another perspective. If you dominate the mobile market, the more interesting it is to know, what kind of people are using alternatives, what motivates and drives them to not use your products. And use that information to modify your product to get also the interest of these people

I use matomo on the logs, not as a tracker. So there is no js loaded on sites. I preprocess the logs (awk) and feed them to the python3 import script from matomo. It’s not bad. The accuracy is ok and we get enough information out of it with nothing but web server (ha proxy) logs.
