DESCRIPTION:
Some websites completely hang the browser and there’s no option to recover (e.g. view new pages/sites) until reboot (or probably terminating browser process via CLI)
PRECONDITIONS:
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- Browse to https://dns-shop.ru
- The site doesn’t load
- The browser is not usable anymore
EXPECTED RESULT:
Closing the misbehaving tab (when the page is taking too long to load or there’s a rendering, internal error or some such) should get rid of the page/tab and restore browser functionality.
ACTUAL RESULT:
The browser can create new tabs and appears to close old ones, however it’s impossible to use it to open and view new pages.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Opening dns-shop.ru in the Browser without specifying https:// or http:// leads to “ohio8.vhecks.io” appearing in the address bar and then it gets stuck.
