All new features works perfekt also the new 5G option. Now I can see all ambiences also my gif animated ambience from the pachtmanager. Thank you very much for your work!
Yes, 5G works like a charm.. Thx a lot. Version is ok in About menu also.
320 still no change.
Should X10II and X10III behaves the same then I believe that aarch64 is affected.
@hhaveri - it is possible to create a what to switch on/off gps? I use for this a special tool called gpstoggle and the terminal command gpstoggle location =1. Also the ASS should be start and stop without a command. I use systemctl stop appsupport@defaultuser. Its good for a sleeping mode to spend battery in the night.
I’ll have a look. In principle it is easy to do - but so far I don’t know how toggle gps (at least without external dependencies). To read the state for condition I’m simply reading what’s in /etc/location/location.conf.
Anyone knows?
I‘ll check that too.

@rdomschk wrote some great commands.
Sure, but toggling gps there requires installing gpstoggle from openrepos. I wonder what that gpstoggle does then…
Br,
Heikki
also not know because the app is binary. This command sudo dbus-send --print-reply --type=method_call --system --dest=net.connman /net/connman/technology/gps net.connman.Technology.SetProperty string:Powered variant:boolean:true make not false but switch not on gps. This was the reason for installing gpstoggle. Maybe I had only a small mistakes in the dbus line… But no prressure, if not all can use gpstoggle an the command. I use it in the car. If situation see the car bluetooth adress than the car mode starts and a special speedlimid app and gps starts. I also diconnect my amazfit GTS watch in the car, because it makes trouble if I will make a real call in the car…
I can confirm that I have also higher cpu consumption, it’s around 13%
And application is empty after run
EDIT: After few restarts its ok now..
Hi,
I’d like to anyway try to understand what is causing this. Can you explain the setup & environment you had in detail and when this happened? Most importantly, Is it somehow reproducable?
Br,
Heikki
By the way, you can nowadays toggle application logging from About-page. Tap 5 times the Situations logo to make the UI visible first. Then you can enable/disable logging, show client & server logs separately, copy them if needed (for pasting somewhere else) and clear the logs.
On Sailfish the client logs are currently quite useless because there is so much layout crap coming out - and I haven’t yet tried to disable any of it. Unlikely there is anything visible about the extra power consumption either. But who knows…
Also, there’s no protection against very large logs, so one probably shouldn’t leave the logging on.

Hmm.. not exactly.. I’ve used my phone.. Spotify mainly.. then I realized.. that phone in my pocket is hotter. So I’ve tried to check whats going on… and Lipstick app showed me that Situations consumes 13%.. mostly one core on 100%.. so I tried to restart service.. which didn’t help, then restart whole phone.. which did’n’t work either. The I stop the situations service and after few hours I tried to run it again, and after that it was fine.. ![]()
Good to know, if it comes again.. I’ll try to get some logs for you ![]()
Hello,
Possibly last “major” beta before I put it to Harbour review and see how long it takes: Release Beta release 321 · pastillilabs/packages · GitHub
Added “official” condition & action for AppSupport toggle. @rdomschk please check if that does what is needed.
I also tried finding out how to toggle GPS from the app. There’s an MDM api that could be used perhaps. But it automatically makes the app also MDM app, so perhaps it is not an option. No other ideas so far ![]()

Hello,
first a big thank you for your good work!
I tested the function Appsupport off/on and its run perfect. The gps toggle is not so importand because everybody can use the toggle app with a comand. For a next version is maybe an idea to have an option for all function to execute it on start or end of the situation. For example with the new appsupport switch off with start and on with end. In the moment I use this off for situation “sleeping” and on in the next situation “at home”. But so I have to place this on in all other situations. This function is possible for comands and apps. But in the moment I do not miss the function.
Br, Ralf
Thanks! Perhaps I didn’t get your idea correctly, but most of the settings in Situations are already stateful. That is, if you have AppSupport off in the system and some situation turns it on → it should turn it back off again when that situation ends. Same with pretty much all other settings.
But of course there are exceptions like sending SMS or opening an app / url. Those cannot be undone, so they just happen when executed. Perhaps I should mark those somehow in the UI…

Good morning,
Oh, thanks I will check that. I think that after my sleep Situation I have to add in all other Situation a AppSupport ON function. Today in the morning the app start with a empty screen and I rebooted but now change. Only after a reinstall and switch on mobile data I got the screen back. I will test it today after work aggain an give you feedback.
The app support “on after sleep” situation works perfectly. But I was unable to reproduce the empty screen issue. I will see after one day real test…
Good morning - also after one day using from all Situations - no problems with version 321…
This version is now submitted to Harbour review. Let’s see how long it takes.
Any bugs / features after this will go to next version - or later.

Heikki
