SIM pin ignored on boot if pin is enabled[5.2.0.17]

HARDWARE: Jolla Phone (2026) - jp2601 - jp2601 - 1.0.0.17 - aarch64
UI LANGUAGE: Deutsch (user: de_DE, os: de_DE.utf8)
REGRESSION: yes (since: n/a - n/a)

DESCRIPTION:

On boot up the system does not ask for the SIM pin if the sim pin is enabled in settings

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1.Set sim pin in settings
2.Reboot the phone
3.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Get prompted to enter the sim pin after unlocking the device the first time

ACTUAL RESULTS:

After unlocking the device it goes straight to the homescreen with enabled sim.

Only one sim in slot 1.
I think this started with the update to 5.2.0.17.

Noticed too, sometimes.
I thought it was a feature (to remember SIM PIN code in case of reboot) in contrary to shutdown + boot, where the PIN is asked.

I also observed this once, which really confused me. I thought I was not right in my mind that I had telephony access without having entered the SIM PIN

Iā€™m never quite sure if the phone does a soft reboot (when this option is added to the top menu) or a full reboot.

With a soft reboot I could imagine that it remembers the PIN.

@miau have you tested this with a full shutdown?

Tried this, after shutdown and powering on the device it asks to enter the pin.
