I’ve got the new J2 with SFOS 5.2 and wanted to sign my emails. I’m sending them using the pre-installed email programme. However, I’m getting an error message saying “the email doesn’t match the key” and I’m now at a loss.
On my personal laptop, I use Debian, and that’s where I generated the GPG keys. As I use the IMAP protocol for emails, I copied the (private) key and imported it into SFOS when setting up the email client
Both keys (for signing and encryption) are now displayed in the email programme; I can also find both keys under the “Keys” menu item in the settings. The email address and fingerprint match on both systems. Whilst emails from the Debian system display a valid signature, I get an error message on SFOS. Although the emails can be sent, it’s causing confusion for the recipients. Does anyone have any idea what I might have overlooked
