Sharing API not working for non ASCII filenames to Android Apps

HARDWARE: Xperia III

UI LANGUAGE: Swedish

DESCRIPTION:

Can not share images with non ascii filenames. Screenshots are automatically created this way . It works for the SFOS Email app but not for apps like Telegram, Facebook Whatsapp.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Create a image with a “ä” some thing like “Skärmklipp” .

  2. Go To Gallery App

  3. Try to share in to e.g Telegram

  4. The image is empty in the target App

EXPECTED RESULT:

The image is included

ACTUAL RESULT:

The image is empty in the target App

I can reproduce this with Xperia 10 II Sailfish 4.5.0.19. I had also already noticed this some ago exactly as you pointed out the case of screenshots.
