Sailtrix problem on J2

I installed Sailtrix on my J2. Immediatly after launching I get the message

“host requires authentication”

And I can’t do anything anymore.

My J2 is on 5.2.0.18

Sailtrix is 1.4.3-1 from OpenRepos

I deleted every folder I found whose name contained “sailtrix” several times, reinstalled the app etc.

A web search suggests an issue with the internal webview not being able to render the authentication page properly. But I have no clue if this even points in the right direction.

I never had issues on my C2. Is this due to new software running on the J2? Does anyone experience this, too?

Are there any suggestions on what I could do? Maybe other folders that need to be emptied?

Thanks in advance!

Even before you configured your account?

What happens if you delete /home/defaultuser/.local/share/org.yeheng?

Not exactly. I installed it and logged in with my credentials but did not verify the device. I had to urgently write a message but wasn’t able to on any device since I had not verified the device (“You have unverified devices”). I removed Sailtrix from the device list to verify it later and was able to send my message.

Since then I get this error. I thought I just could start over by completely removing the app and reinstalling it.

But apparently something must be left somewhere though I manually removed everything containing “sailtrix” and rebooted.

What happens if you delete /home/defaultuser/.local/share/org.yeheng ?

I did that. I get a white screen then when launching the app. I can only reboot the device then and I’m back at the error message I started this thread with…

You need to delete org.yeheng in .config, .local/share and .cache.
In root, you may also need to remove the sailfish secrets in the corresponding folder, I don’t remember which one

I had trouble in initial sailtrix setup on J2, but I was able to get login and verified device state after following ‘Cannot create secrets collection’ described here:

Did you try that already?

I am not able, to find anything. I have deleted the other files several times with no luck.

Yes, I found that. I assume, that both suggestions aim at the same files.

I followed everything proposed, except,as said,I can’t find these files (SailtrixWallet2.db, SailtrixWallet2.db-shm, SailtrixWallet2.db-wal). There is said:

You should be able to find the directory via find / -name *Sailtrix*

I don’t get a result running this search. So there’s nothing to delete. Might there be another location or file to look for?

That is strange. I have them in
/home/defaultuser/.local/share/system/privileged/Secrets
and I needed to delete them described at initial install

Thanks for that hint. That made me realize I didn’t search as devel-su. As such I could see and remove the files and thus setup Sailtrix.

Thank you for your patience!
