Sailfish-Connect does not start anymore

DESCRIPTION:

Sailfish-Connect does not start anymore. It worked in 4.3 Suomenlinna

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Try to start sailfish-connect

EXPECTED RESULT:

Application starts and connects to KDE-connect

ACTUAL RESULT:

Application does not start

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

None. I have to explore what fails

It fails because of SailJail. If you start sailfish-connect (harbour-sailfishconnect) from terminal it works.

this is a SailJail-Problem. For a fast (but not very legal) fix until the desktop file is proper prepared:

Edit /usr/share/applications/harbour-sailfishconnect.desktop and append:

[X-Sailjail]
Sandboxing=Disabled

I helped myself with different apps for that by now (SyncDings, Storeman…) but please use the original settings of the maintainers after they update these files.

strange? in my case it work as previously ( it autostart )

might be that the autostart technically is indeed a start from console.
