Just install them again.
chum worked for me, installed it via pkcon, but it is also available with openrepos/storeman, on 5.1, after it removed during upgrade
“visible” option for bluetooth always returned to disable after a while
step to reproduce:
settings → bluetooth
set “visible” to “enable”
check after few hours (I didnt check, maybe 15-30 min?)
after a while “visible” is “disabled”
I’ve reinstalled Chum then OSM Scout Server via Chum to use with PureMaps in offline mode, however I’m now getting time out errors when trying to get a list of countries, add maps etc. Any thoughts on what to try? PureMaps is working fine in online mode.
Mine froze after the update, too. There’s no way to turn it off. I’m waiting for the battery to run down. I suppose I’ll have to reinstall the original, but where can I download the OS I bought three years ago?
There are less dramatical ways out. Just restart with volume and power button for a few seconds. And read more posts if that really fails.

I had tried without success. On the third attempt, the logo appeared and it seemed to be working, but then it froze again. After restarting it again, everything is fine.

Was this possible on your device without problems? Which device do you use?
On my device (XA2 h3113), pure maps, OSM scout server and chum gui (as well as others) were removed (sadly without notices) while updating to Pispala (coming from 5.0.0.78 - without problems, except for having to free disk space before and forced reboot needed after the update).
I could reinstall Chum Gui via chum-gui-installer-rpm (V. 0.6.9-1.noarch) from openrepos in Pispala, but trying to install OSM Scout Server (3.1.9-1.9.2.bso) and Pure Maps (3.5.1-1.15.1.bso) via this Chum results in error messages (something like “nothing provides libabsl_log_…” - messages are too long / fade away too quick to read them completely or take screenshots).
Installing OSMSS (1.4.1) and PM (3.4.2) via Jolla Store was possible, but resulted in the same errors you mentioned (timeouts/errors when getting country list and/or map files in OSMSS) and (of course) missing features like TTS in PM.
Other apps (like like Tidings or TVH Client) where kept during the update to Pispala, but new installed (see above) Chum now reports them to be the latest version(s) available, whereas Jolla Store reports available updates, but then refuses to update them (“problem with store. could not install..:”).
Maybe someone could bring some light into this? Thank you very much…

Running a Xperia 10 III. I’ve had no problems installing OSM Scout server from Chum and PureMaps remained installed after the upgrade. So in all it seems the only issue (for me) is the time out errors

@Keto could we get release notes of 5.2 soon™? There seem to be all kind of juicy stuff, ESR115, android 15, XT9 back, what else?
Not the most important thing in the world, totally understandable that there might be quite a few more urgent things on the table

It will probably take few months before 5.2 comes to EA for other devices. Just like with 5.0, it came first for C2 and only few months later for all supported devices.

I am aware and this has been confirmed by Jolla. I just want to get the release notes to understand what has changed for Jolla phone, which hopefully arrives this month 
Did Jolla release full 5.0 change log before it came out to EA for all the supported devices? Anyway I think the 5.2 is still heavily “work in progress” and the version we have now (or when you receive your phone) will not be the one that will be offered to all the devices.
Much easier for them to just release it all once than append the change list every week 
Very good question, they released multiple versions publicly for only C2, before they finally pushed 5.0 to all devices. I think C2 shipped with 5.0.0.5, but got quite quickly pushed to [Release notes] Tampella 5.0.0.21 for Jolla C2 as earlier versions had bugs. Couldn’t find earlier 5.0 releases so it might be yes that they are trying to get to stable enough version before the announcement! 5.0.0.21 was published in end of October and if I remember correctly C2 shipped in early October or something? But yea, have to just sit tight and wait patiently
So I tested connecting a DELTCO USB hub to my Fairphone 5 now on 5.1.0.11 and plugged in the power from a monitor, USB keyboard and mouse and a Wired connection and both LEDs flashing. So I turned off WLAN, mobile data, and can access the internet. But nothing is shown in the top bar to indicate you are in Wired/Ethernet mode.
So I opened a terminal>
$ connmanctl services
*AO Wired ethernet ….. cable
So Active and Online
…………………………….
$ ip route show
default via 192……. dev eth0 ….
Default system gateway is pointing straight to your local router on the interface eth0
………………………………………..
So you can check behind the scenes to confirm the connection.
Are there plans to add an icon and/or a Wired/Ethernet network icon in the Quick settings screen when it is connected?

On my Xperia 10 III, AppSupport crashes within seconds of starting ever since the update. Reinstalling AppSupport did not help, but somehow used up 1GB of system storage space, besides losing all Android apps.
Is patchmanager still working? I see after update, patchmanager lists no patches anymore.
Edet: after reboot works again. No issue so far.
