ProtonBridge CLI

Hi there!

I packaged ProtonBridge on OpenRepos: Proton Bridge CLI | OpenRepos.net — Community Repository System

I was getting tired of starting and stopping containers all the time to simply have my mail in a native client. Currently testing it and it seems to work. I’m planning to write a simple GUI app to control the bridge eventually but I already burned way more time than I wanted on building go/libsecret/proton-bridge, so it’ll have to wait.

If you install manually and not using my repository, you’re also gonna need libsecret.

This looks great, thanks for putting it together.

I have a question about getting it all running, and I’m not at my SFOS phone so I’m writing this from memory.

I get the warning message when starting it up that I need to have pass. But I can’t install pass (not available for Xperia 10 V?) from Storeman or Chum, because I’m missing pwgen. When I try to install that via Storeman or Chum, there’s no available packages for my platform I guess. Do I have to build pwgen and maybe pass myself?

You don’t, it’s just a warning. Though beware your messages are on disk unencrypted. I plan to eventually provide pass or some other backend, but for now it’s usable, even though not as secure as Proton might have intended.
