Problem with Skype messages

REPRODUCIBILITY (% or how often): over 50%
BUILD ID = OS VERSION (Settings > About product): 3.4.0 and couple versions before
HARDWARE (Jolla1, Tablet, XA2,…): Xperia X
UI LANGUAGE: Estonian
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?):

DESCRIPTION:

Skype will get new messages only right after start and if you want to get new messages again, you have to close Skype, wait for several hours and then start the Skype again. After upgrading Sailfish to 3.4.0, Skype worked fine for about a week and I thought that the bug was fixed but now the problem is back. Sending messages works fine.

PRECONDITIONS:

Skype or Skype lite (Skype beta doesn’t have this problem).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open Skype
  2. wait

EXPECTED RESULT:

Skype will always get new messages

ACTUAL RESULT:

Skype will get new messages only right after starting the app and for the next time to get new messages the Skype have to be closed for several hours.

Did you enable ‘Allow background application services to start on bootup’ under Settings - Apps - Skype?

I’ve tried that but that doesn’t change anything, still no new messages even when the Skype is open. But on the other hand, background services for Signal are starting despite that this setting is turned off.
