There is an issue with Pure Black patch. Background of SFOS Captive Portal app is Pure Black :slight_smile: and login page is invisible.

I know the issue!

It will probably be a problem with any app using WebView - and I canā€™t catchā€™em all! :wink:

But Iā€™ll look into Captive Browser at least.

Just a feedback for new Jolla Phoneā€¦ I tried to install my usual @nephros patches:

Working:

  • Sandbox Indicator
  • Glass Popups
  • Email Account in Folder header
  • Glass Covers

Canā€™t activate:

  • Finer Volume Control

What is your SFOS version? For me since i installed update to 5.2.0.16 no patches at all seem to work

5.2.0.16ā€¦ So latest version for new Jolla Phone. I first also thought they wont work, but needed to restart the services from patch manager top menu.

Do they not ā€œactivateā€, or seem to have no effect?

In the latter case, re-install patchmanager and restart Lipstick.
PM has an issue which makes it ineffective after OS updates.

Thanks for the feedback - working on Finer Volume right now, fix should become available soon!

EDIT: 1.3.0 put in Web Catalog.

Still marked as 5.1 compatible, as there is not yet a 5.2 selection possible.

Thanks, install was possible and it works, but partly with some strange behavior:

Sometimes not only the ringtone volume is moved when sliding the volume indicator, and the regular volume slider also moves. In this case also actual playing music stops (so stops/pauses, no crash of tbe player app).

Hi, thank you for the update. But I got some bugs.

  1. When ringtone volume is at 20% or above, single button clicks do nothing, holding buttons works fine.
  2. Ringtone step is always 5%, even at low volume
  3. Media volume step is still 9%

Same here, except single button taps does not work even mostly under 20%, holding buttons also does not work sometime. Try to adjust volume, wait 3-4s then hold again, it does nothing

Btw is it possible to add option to ignore buttons for ringer volume - not just me on new JP but also people with ajphones missing calls because they somehow muted ringtone volume by buttons. Or when taking snapshot i always adjust ringtone volume what is annoying , top menu is very fine for me for that, volume buttons make sense for music or call volume to me.

i found that finer volume patch also blocking volume buttons in camera app to use them as shutter, for now i had to disable patch it complicates using volume controls more than jolla default now on JP2026

Just tested that. Volume up and also volume down work without problems as shutter on my Jolla Phone 2026 for all three cameras - but just in photo mode. In video mode they do what a volume button is intended to do - but thatā€™s no bug to my mind as it doesnā€™t really make sense to start/stop a recording with that buttons.

Reactivated patch and yes, now it does not block camera shutter, strange :slight_smile: even holding buttons now works as expected. i will keep it activated and we will see :wink:
