DESCRIPTION:

Whatsapp fails to upliad pics, reports i should clean up to get space

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1.whatsapp runs out odmf storage
2.e.g.pics fail to upload

I have installed:
Whatsaop
Signal
Tidal
Magic Earth
Booking

Did download 2gb of music for offline use.
Then wa complained
Removed downloaded music
Cleaned up
Two days later same error msg
Uninstalled booking and magic earth
Could upload 1 pic then

Wa says it needs 18MB, other apps 3gb, 106 gb free

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Enough space and correct storage usage visible

ACTUAL RESULTS:

Android storage seems limited

Same error on 4.6.0.13+ and on 5.0.0.55 on arm7. But whatsapp works. From time to time it’s complaining on not enough space, but all works - stories and images, video loading. Annoying bug, yea.

I could not upload pic.
Tried 3 times
Then cleaned up.
You mean a restart might have be enough ?
Will give it a try

Yep, restart of whatsapp, every time after first start - restart needed.

3 times restart did the trick
