I ordered two screen protectors on 18th of July. No delivery yet. But I did get an email asking how I like the product.

So, sent email to Jolla, and now I just have to wait for them to clear the queue.

But yeah, as stated by others, ask for a refund if you don’t want the purchase to be delivered.

Well, Jolla is a really small team, and over the summer (mandatory vacation time), they were even more understaffed than usual. They’ve been really busy catching up on the backlog… you just need to be patient.

For example, I got a confusing email a month ago saying they were going to ship me an extra privacy screen protector* It even had a tracking number… but it never arrived, and they don’t seem to have actually shipped it, as the tracking status still says “waiting for parcel from sender.”

*I had already ordered one with my phone, which I picked up at the launch event.

Thankfully, I didn’t need to notify Jolla about the error and add even more to their backlog.

Yeah, it would be nice if Jolla had more resources to handle stuff like this and could communicate better, but a small company can’t have everything. Right now, they’d rather put their resources into engineering efforts… maybe someday they’ll have enough money for dedicated marketing and PR people.

The problems described here are not solved by hiring marketing&pr people, but logistics. You can hire temporary aides to pack and ship the orders - using high-skilled programmers for that task is a weird choice unless they really find it fulfilling.

That is if you have the product. If not, then its about supply chain management and managing expectations in the product page (a text saying out of supply, estimated delivery in more than six weeks).
