Hi! Thanks for trying it. Let me respond in list style too

  • To remove the horizontal line, until there is a better solution, you can select ā€œedit sourceā€ from the top menu, to see the whole document in an editor.
  • For the new line, what do you want to achieve with it? Do you want to increase the distance between two blocks, or do you want to write a new line and then new content? For the first, this is not possible, because empty lines are not rendered. For the the second you should be able to tap the block above or below and add additional content to that editor - it may then be displayed as multiple blocks depending on the content you added.
  • Regarding the multiple notes, you probably mean the notes in the Notes_Plus_Documentation group? I deliver the docs with the application so there is some example content. If you don’t want that you can long tap the Notes_Plus_Documentation group or just the ADRs group in it and delete it. You may have to delete it again after an update, until there is a better solution. If you just want to hide it, tap the group header. It closes the group and it will stay closed when you reopen the app.

Thank you for the answers. For the last point, i mean there are multiple (5 to be precise) images of the app icon in the image gallery (with the ascii fish  most certainly because they belong to example of notes and are stored in defaultuser/Document. Not a problem.

Hey, this is an awesome app, great work. I was surprised how capable it is and its exactly the thing i was missing.

One thing i noticed - is there an option to create checklists ? I couldn’t seem to find it and it’s something I’d expect to be in such an app.

I don’t know why that would be the case. I only see one on all devices. Multiple app icons shouldn’t have anything to do with examples. May I ask which device and Sailfish OS version you are using?

Is anybody else seeing this?

Thank you. It has basic check list support. You can create checkbox item withs * [ ] text and they can be toggled by tapping the rendered text until it flashes. The edit sidebar has a button for inserting a checkbox. And there is a special paste mode: When the paste button in the edit sidebar is touched long, it is entered and when the checkbox button is touched afterwards, the content will be pasted and each pasted line becomes a checkbox.

I would like to use Notes Plus as my main cross-platform note-taking app, syncing with Ferry Sync (Ferry Sync on OpenRepos.net). Can you recommend a good Linux desktop counterpart that can handle .adoc files?

I previously used Markdown Notes (Notizenmd on OpenRepos.net), but its SailfishOS app has not been maintained since mid-2022 and lacks some formatting features—for example, tables are displayed without borders in the preview.

I can not really recommend it because I don’t use it, but AsciidoctorFX should be pretty mature. Is has been around for more than 12 years. I think it’s the reference implementation of asciidoc. It was developed in ruby and wrapped in Java via Java’s ruby script engine support, that’s why it’s written in Java and this is the most feature rich asciidoc editor. I have been watching the field for over 10 years now. In the last couple of years implementations for other languages have been popping up. I’d expect more editors to become available eventually.

Actually I’m now thinking about using the core of Notes Plus for a companion QT Desktop app. Thanks for the inspiration.

That’s weird. I installed it quite often on my Xperia 10 III.

Obsidian has a plugin for asciidoc but it’s not supported by the obsidian search api. There is apparently however a plugin for search that would support it. Sadly seems like there is nothing similar for Logseq tho.

Full journal click causes:

ERROR: Failed to read journal.adoc: Tiedostoa tai hakemistoa ei ole (os error 2)

Thanks for reporting this. To be honest, I think it was a mistake to release the journal feature. I hid it behind a setting that has to be enabled because I knew it wasn’t working well, but I should have removed it and will do so in the next release.

I try to replace the Lists-App with Notes Plus. Can you add select buttons that act like this, for a shopping-list for example:

Clicking on one entry toggle it from normal to done and vice versa.
