New Phone on horizon?

I think something is wrong with yours. On average I charge my XA2 Ultra twice a week. On 3.4

Availability of X10 II is almost non-existant right from the start.
I don’t think J should take efforts to support it.

Decided to switch to “prefer 3G” as advised in a different thread - 13hours later I lost barely 30%. So it is definitely something related to 4G (although I am all day on WiFi). Anyway, this is OT for this thread.

xperia 10 II plus has been canceled and after the new year we are waiting for 10 III with 5G

They already deliver the phones …

I backed the volla phone (with UBTouch pre-installed) in the kickstarter campaign.
I received my phone- as communicated in that campaign- in the end of october.

They said in november they want to open a shop, where you can buy it.
In the volla telegram channel they said until then you can also contact them via mail to buy a phone.

Thx you all for your information.
Volla phone is without Android, isnt it?
Xperia 10 III is to long to go.

it was not planed, but i use now the grapheneos with a pixel 4a. for me it has a good form, clean android 11 and really good photos.
i will use the X as 2. phone.

I think it will be awesome to try to get in he horizon a european brand telefon like volla, or shiftphone , fairphone, bq , …it will give more sense to the idea of a full european product. It will be great if Jolla could hear that

i just got into a phone made in Germany called CarbonMobile , and just thinking that it could be great to talk to them about SailfishOS. I wrote to them recently and they were interesting in supporting other OS than Android.

Looks nice, I just hope it’s not going to be Turing Phone 2.0.

whats that? i dont know that storie

Oh, boy, that’s a crazy one. I’m not the best person to give an account but I’ll try (please correct me). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_Phone https://together.jolla.com/question/143475/swordfish-os-turing-robotic-industries/ It started out as a fundraiser for a very high-end phone running Sailfish. They actually shipped a few units of the original phone, then they started hyping a next-generation phone with specs that were quite exaggerated, they went overboard with it, and eventually went bankrupt.

@fph luckily this telephone that I talk about is a German firma similar to Fairphone.

The information on the website does not impress me so much.
The specs are mid range, but overpriced. The weight advantage of carbon fibre distorted by not comparing to a realistic peer group. The environmental advantages of carbon fibre are unfounded. And there is no indication of availability of alternative OSes.

I think I could over two days if my XA2 Plus is idle, so you definitely have some diagnostics to do.

(And this is with a second-hand phone.)

@davidrasch when a new small company is trying to get into this shark businesses , is comprehensible that they are expensive.

That what you think

Like I said before , I have been in contact with them , and they really will love to work with diferent solutions than Android.

Again I will saythe eropean telephones available . They are Bq, Fairphone, Volla, Carbon Mobile, and SHIFTPhones.
So why not to focus in european devices instead of asiatics or american?

I have read that Vollaphone is the same as a Gigaset phone.

Gael Duval is testing the Gigaset GS290 (similar to Volla phone), with /e/foundation, a fork of lineage os. He de-googles it and android apps are available with microG.

Volla phone is using Mediatek P23 processor which is even slower than the snapdragon 630 that the orignal XA2 had.
