Many specific questions related to Chinese language

Do Sailfish os5 have any easy-to-use Chinese input method, navigation, travel, taxi calling, take-out, shopping, translation, weather, maps, online mobile payment, online video and online music applications? Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese? The input method should be a Chinese input method that supports Jiugongge, handwriting input and voice input.

Here are some language choices on my XA2 that could correspond:

I only reply regarding native apps, no clue what android stuff would work via appsupport (if you need a shitload of android apps better buy android phone. Else its like installing linux and using mostly windows stuff via wine)

navigation
not sure if they have chinese translation

taxi calling
If you mean some app where you can order a taxi. No

take-out, shopping
no clue what that means, probably no

online payment
native no

online video, music
video not really, internet radio yes

handwriting input
dont think so

voice input
No

But always keep in mind if there exist apps (like navigaiton) it usually a small number of available ones. E.g. Navigation: pure maps, osm scout and osm server (so basically you have 2 navigation apps).
Also sailfish os is somewhat like debian, so most stuff is ancient

There are native apps that add features. Like for naration, video and audio players.

So I recommend some searching and reading.

I think even some kind of voice input is on openrepos (But I have no idea if chinese is supported by this app - I never used it).

For voice input, there is Speech Note, for which you can download a chinese model. Give it a try to find out if it suits you.

World-class text input

Text input support comes with all the bells and whistles you would expect: XT9™ text prediction and error correction, dead key support for inputing diacritics, split keyboard for thumb-friendly landscape typing. Chinese keyboards support pinyin, stroke, and handwriting inputs.

So it seems hanfwriting input is supported for chinese, never tried though, for obvious reasons

I copied this from the official jolla homepage, as i said, i have no idea if this (still) works

XT9 was bundled with Sailfish X licences until about two years ago. When Jolla restructured, the agreement with Nuance lapsed and now they are no longer able to provide it. I believe you can still “borrow” the XT9 rpm from existing devices if you have it installed somewhere

I do know that, but i don’t know if the chinese handwriting feature is part of the unlicensed xt9 package

On my Xperia 10 III, for which I bought a license in August of 2025, the Chinese handwriting input methods are still available.

Strange. I stand corrected. It didn’t show up on my 10 IV but I suppose that it’s technically not fully licenced
