Looks like I fail at the first steps because I have only Linux workstations and can’t find the files to flash “68.1.A.2.270” onto the device.
@slalomsk8er, XperiaFirm runs perfectly fine under Linux - you just need to use Mono.

I successfully used XperiFirm on linux recently. I found the instructions here at XDA to be useful, and complete. I then used Newflasher to restore the firmware to the device. Again good instructions are here at XDA.
I hope this helps you get the process going.

Next time I will try @juz instructions, but I must say… never under my 13 years with Sailfish have I succeeded flashing an X with Newflasher.
Really? I did it a few times over the course of developing this port, and it worked flawlessly for me every time. I would highly recommend it based on my experience.
What do you use instead? How else can you get Android 14 re-installed on the device reliably? I am happy to update the instructions if there is a more preferred method.

I did see that post when you made it and was going to comment. I went from Android 12 to 14 in one step, no idea why it took you 18!!
At any rate, if you are currently running A15 on the 10V I believe you will be okay. The Lineage instructions call for A14 or A15 to be running before flashing LOS22. I only wrote the number down for A14 to keep the instructions consistent with 10IV, but I will update that now to avoid future confusion.

Yes, that’s why I went through all those painful steps.
I just thought that 15 would be better than 14. Don’t really know why.

I used Emma, on a Windows VM. And then OTA update.

Emma is the same thing as the Xperia Flash Tool, correct? I used that to start with and landed on Android 12, but could not for the life of me get it to give me any later android version, and the phone was unable to find any OTA updates even after re-locking the bootloader. Therefore, I went down the path of XperiaFirm and NewFlasher.
At any rate, the morale of the story is do whatever works for you, one way or another get stock Android 14 or 15 on the device and work from there.

With XperiaFirm and Newflasher you can go straight to A15 in one step, just for anyone coming after - no OTA required, so no need to relock bootloader etc. But as above, do whatever you feel most comfortable with.
Just for the record if you are wondering if you need to downgrade from A15, I have gone from A15 → Lineage 22.2 → Sailfish 5.1 and it has resulted in a port of excellent quality and stability thanks to @sharks hard work.

Correct! In my case, with X10V, it was Android 13, and I had no problem updating OTA after bootloader relock.
That said, I will definitely give NewFlasher a new try, if ever needed.

Since I have no easy access to a Windows PC, and in addition my crappy 20 years old Debian Laptop is not powerful enough for proper VM, I also used Xperifirm with mono many months to flash Xperias back and forth with different Android versions without any problems or hassle. That worked for me really well

Might be the lack of enough RAM, but did you try Quickemu? There even is a GUI, called quickgui, to ease the pain.

I took my first photos with the 10V today. What a marvelous and novel experience after making do without a camera for so long. The photos were taken outside in good light, and they seemed very good.
The other plus of a working camera is being able to scan QR codes - this too came in handy today.
I ran Stumblefish continuously collecting info for 9 hours today as I traveled around, and still came home with 60% battery. The GPS is fast and accurate, and the battery life has been fantastic.
Overall after using this port for a few days it feels fantastic and very much usable.
