Wow, the parcel is on its way.
When you choose to order the phone itâs very clear which batch youâre ordering. Hereâs an example from today.
JP-2601 came today. Inary blue was nice surprice.
Oh well i guess that part of it is that you have a ton of really enthusiastic people who canât wait for their exciting unique phones and another part of it is i guess that most people have experience primarily with common online shopping where usually when you recieve a mail that your package has been shipped it also means it has been handed over to the delivery service. Thatâs at least what how it was with me. I know this is mass shipping situation but still. You also have the cases where people got the phone delivered without the tracking changing from waiting for package and all. It can get a bit confusing.
Large players, like Amazon, have a highly refined system, where they have taken automation to the point, where they can schedule emails for actual delivery pickup. Small brick-and-mortar stores, that only deliver small quantities of packages every month, may have a situation, where the employees have taken the package to the local post office themselves, and received a tracking code on the receipt, and they then manually send the email with the tracking code after the package has been already handed out.
Jolla falls in between these two, where they havenât refined their system to the point where they time the emails, but also donât send them manually after the packages are out of their hands.
They probably just kept checking the wrong code since you receive multiple emails with a different code in each one of them.
I received mine yesterday.
Apparently they just ran out of Inari blue, âcause my package got a note saying it will be send later (bit no explanation why or an estimate when). No biggie, but more information would have been great. Now up to discovering Sailfish and searching for alternative apps
.
Im abit confused what to do now, The thing is that i bought J2 phone, (it is in batch 1), but when i was buying it i could not select my country (Iceland) in the list, so i contacted my friends sister in Norway that gave me permission to have it sent to her.
I have been following the tracking information and it arrived a while ago to the post in Oslo, Norway, but she was having a holiday. Now the post in Norway has updated the tracking info and it says and i quote:
"The deadline for collection has expired. The consignment has been returned to sender.
3 September 2026 at 08:38
0024 oslo"
We allmost had a mental breakdown when we read that
In our stupidity we thought they would keep the package 4 weeks so she was not stressed getting back from her holiday, but it turns out they only keep it 2 weeks when waiting. What should i do, is the package still tracked back to Jolla? And is there maybe a possibility to change the address when Jolla gets the phone returned and pay to have it sent straight to Iceland even if the country is not listed on their webpage? What a mess, all because she was having a holiday ![]()
I should probably send email to Jolla support, does anybody know what the email address is, and what info they would need?
Thanks for any help
Jolla is well behind when it comes to email.
I think itâs best if you send a PM to @jolla with all the details of your order, your email address and your delivery address.
I hope that helps, and good luck.
Ok thanks for the info, but how do i send Jolla a Private Message directly, do you mean here on the forum? Im not sure how to do that
Somewhere, in one of the messages on the forum somewhere, Jolla asked that people with more urgent needs, like an address change, email using the specific subject line âJollaPhoneOrderChanges #XXXXâ where the XXXX is your order number. I needed to change my address twice because Iâm a moron, and that method worked for me.
Tip: in my message on addJolla, a window should pop up here â Message.
Ok thanks, i will try
But i see that there is a special app in the harbour store for sending messages to Jolla support, its an unofficial app, maybe that is the best way, my situation is a bit special because the post in Norway has sent the package back to Jolla and im not even sure if it will be tracked on the way back to Finland.
Now I found an explanation for tracking problem in my case. Actually I got 3 different tracking numbers where one was updating and two waited parcel from the sender. Of course I followed the one which did not update
.
Afterwards when I checked the Posti tracking number updates nicely. I got the first message on Friday at the and of working hours and got my phone on Tuesday so it took only two working days to get a phone. In my case it was fast.
The same was explained e.g. by @Jespsounds
Got my phone but seems to be on stuck after putting correct security code?
Hi, Iâm in batch 1 with #6033 and havenât got my phone yet.. probably have that double email thing. was there something i should do?
Hi, welcome. As a new user, you canât send a PM to @jolla yet.
Please have a look at the post above, send an email using the specified format for the subject line, and include all the details of your order in the body of the email.
I hope that helps, and good luck.
Send PM to Jolla here and ask what is situation:
Hi. I completed my order (Batch #3) on April 17th. My order number is 21832. Do you have any update? I donât have any specific need so I think is useless to send an email but I didnât manage to sand a PM to @Jolla since I registered today in this forum.
Your best bet is the Jolla Phone Community Shipping Tracker, where you can add you details and follow the delivery reports from other members of the community.
Jolla have said there is a general delay of about a month for everyone, and as far as I can tell, no Batch 3 orders have been shipped. The delay is due to problems found with some early devices.
