Jolla Phone Community Shipping Tracker

Brilliant, I wish I could like this more than once haha!

Phones reported in the tracker, per million inhabitants in the country, on a logarithmic scale

Statistical significance is not the same for the different columns, but I don’t know how to make these calculations. Luxembourg is a single person in a small population, making the number look artificially large.

Seems fairly well balanced? It’s difficult to say anything about this as we don’t know how well the data in the tracker reflects the total volume of orders. Are certain nationalities more likely to see the tracker topic, are certain nationalities more likely to share their data? Who knows.

Having said that, assuming it’s representative - something that stands out to me is the clustering of France, Portugal, Spain and Italy at the ‘bottom‘.

Something else that is interesting - the difference between Ireland and Great Britain.

Mine has been shipped and it’s in-country (UK), but customs are farting about with it
It’s just cost me £48 to get them to release a £200 watch that I had shipped from France.
God knows how much the phone is going to cost me. Just awaiting updates from Royal Mail.

Nevermind now there are 2 comments approved still the order didn’t arrived is what I mean, this is same account you guys removed, why now the comments have been approved? Before you remove comment and deleted my account when I ask about order now you suddenly approved? I’m so confused either way is about my order an not me complaining wtf happen with automated system or staffs out there

What you wrote could have been unintelligble or looked like spam being a first message? Did you check what this topic is about? This is a forum of peers, so please keep your message to what the topic asks for. Did you provid order information already in the sheet? And read the first post if you jumped right in.

I don’t know your name either. But if you consider my gentle advice blabbing and calling me clown we are not on the same page. I am certainly not an admin, but I recognise your offensive tone well enough. Most people receive their devices for sure. Have a nice evening you too.

Fixed: spelling of advice

Your tool is not helpful in our conversation. You give it too little context. The first questions from me were about your questions on why your message was removed. I am sorry if that was not clear after you writing two different messages in a row. Then after that I gave some advice, if you find that spelling better to read, I consider them both relevant and gentle.

I think we should stick with just ‘Most people receive their devices for sure.’ this is perfect intelligible and you practical answer to everything I wanted to know from you, unless the tool are you referring is app/apk developed by Jolla devs in order to track your customs? (that would be very useful if there is something like that). It doesn’t matter why my previous message was removed or if was with little or bigger context because the issue is the same ‘I didn’t receive the order’. Please provide that tool for tracking you’re talking about if not than is ok

I am happy we found a middle ground. So I expand on the part you accept: Most people get their ordered devices in the expected order based on (pre-order) order and the rest after any outstanding issues are cleared. This can take way longer time, though, but as you realised and experienced there are a lot of information on what these issues can be which are found in other more relevant threads in this forum.

Thanks for that statistical analysis. Sad to see PRT is a median of 13.5. I take Consolation that a) the sample is small and b) mine’s been en route now for 9 days since the label was created. But actually in motion since UPS received, it for 5 days. UPS is suggesting delivery on 8/10 so, it will be the ~ 13 days :winking_face_with_tongue:

An interesting observation; PRT & ESP could be ‘new found’ freedom after dictatorships in their relatively recent past? FRA, on the other hand, potentially disproves that hypothesis. Also interesting the similarities between IRL to DEU including the ones in between

Sounds like your delivery time will be spot on compared to the median then!

Hmm, I’m wondering if the English language could be the problem here? Or is there maybe only a tiny bit of news outlets covering alternative tech in those countries?

I would suggest a bit of both language and media coverage. Both of which are sort of chicken and egg; which is first, language or media coverage?

Hola, Sailors.

What has been people’s general experience of how long the Posti tracking stays on “We are waiting for the parcel from the sender.” before it actually shows any movement or updates? I am curious because I got my tracking numbers for my two Batch #3 phones (108xx) just this morning. They all say “We are waiting for the parcel from the sender” on the Posti tracking site, but I assume Jolla pre-prints the labels or otherwise holds the packaged devices for a while before Posti takes possession of them. If the route is somehow relevant, the Posti destination address is in Lancashire, United Kingdom (GBR).

Whatever the average might be, if it’s even known, I am not complaining. Jolla will get them out when they get them out in due time. I’m simply curious what the average Posti “waiting for pickup time” has been up until this point. This initial shipment from Jolla is just the first leg of a great journey across three different continents that my phones will take before they get into my hands, so of course I am in “patience mode”. It’s just that getting tracking numbers is the first concrete update I’ve had since my original purchase back in December, so it’s on my mind.

Thanks!

I don’t know how long it stays on “We are waiting for the parcel from the sender“. It’s not something we’ve been tracking through the tracker and generally not massively relevant as you’ll usually see movement on the tracking link from Posti within a few days. But I understand the curiosity.

As for which tracking number is the correct one/the one you should follow: for me it was the one linked to a combined order made by Jolla on commerce.jolla.com. The combined order said: ‘multiple order statuses‘.
