Is it possible to try to build the entire os with bionic c

Sailfish is a great os. But I have a question.
Is it possible to try to build the entire os with bionic c, remove libhybris, and some backend services can be directly transferred to android services or HAL, is there a lot of difficulty and work?
If necessary, i will hook glibc and bionic c at the app layer.

Looking forward to answer, thanks a lot!

I’d guess the plan is to rather get rid of all Android-related dependencies than the other way round. I thing the libhybris stuff is more a workaround to somehow utilize android blobs. PostmarketOS is on the horizon, so maybe no need for libhybris any more some time.

If it was, why would they have gone to all the trouble of making libhybris?
What are you planning on achieving?

Sailfish isn’t the only OS using libhybris, at least AsteroidOS and UBports use it too, so it’s a combined effort.
