Podcast applications can track progress and pick up where you stopped. But for creative people like DJs who may want to tag timestamps in mixes and bookmark them, there is no solution yet. Another use case may be to bookmark timestamps in radio recordings to later be able to find them again.
Am I the only one with a need for this function? I developed this as a terminal application and am thinking about implementing it as sailfish application. (See GitHub - i-love-coffee-i-love-tea/mocp-bookmark-manager.sh: A bookmark manager for the wonderful cli audio player 'mocp' · GitHub for an example to get an idea of it, although I have a python version of this now and would call the .sh version deprecated). The user can bookmark a timestamp, set a rating, add a comment and then later jump to the position.
