Sony Xperia 10 II Binaries

Hello,

It’s my first time trying to run anything else than android on a Phone.

I bought a Sony Xperia 10 II with Android 12 on it.

I bought the Sailfish OS software from the website and followed the instructions. (I hope I did them the right way).

Then Step 5: Get the Sony software binaries.

I need: SW\_binaries\_for\_Xperia\_Android\_10.0.7.1\_r1\_v12b\_seine.zip

But there seems to be no way to get the right binaries.

I tried many things and looked online. But I don’t find a way to get the actual file.

Every time I try to download it on the Sony website, the file is corrupted.

Maybe someone got the file and can send it to me.

Or else I don’t think this phone will ever get Sailfish OS🥺

When you say corrupted, you mean you can’t unzip it?

Yes, the file is about 260kb small.

And if I try to unzip it, it says no no no no

It’s not clear from your post but have you followed the instructions in flashing-README.txt in the SFOS zip archive?

And you’re downloading from here?

Umm, I don’t think so. What step is that in the Installation guide?

Yeah, I looked again. It’s on there.

It originally says 102 mb, once downloaded it’s 0,26 kb.

So there’s something wrong with the file

Don’t give up. It is possible. I downloaded just a few weeks ago.

I mentioned a month ago that the download link by Sony is broken, and it seems they still haven’t fixed it. For some reason the file doesn’t exist after they moved things, the older version does work mostly you just cant take pictures with it (it freezes when you try to take a pic)

This exact version? Do you still have the file?

Hey, I tried with an older version.

It tells me the file isn’t in the directory, but it is.

Maybe I did some step wrong, but I’m not sure.

also keep it safe, its possible that others might need it at least if Sony wont fix the download link
