Google Calendar : deleted occurrence of regular meetings is not deleted in SFOS Calendar

DESCRIPTION:

Google “Workspace” (formerly Google Suite) account I used for work.
Calendar sync works fine, but when someone deletes an occurrence of a recurring meeting I am invited to, this occurrence never gets deleted from my XA2.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Create a Google account and enable Calendar sync
  2. Have someone create a recurring meeting (e.g. weekly) and invite you, then accept it
  3. Have someone delete an occurrence

EXPECTED RESULT:

The deleted occurrence should be deleted from SFOS Calendar app

ACTUAL RESULT:

The deleted occurrence is not deleted from SFOS Calendar app

Thanks for raising this @miqu. Could you please check this again after the next upgrade? We’ve introduced some fixes for recurring event deletion in general for Google calendars, and it would be good to know whether it fixes the issue you describe here in particular.

@flypig I did create the bug report, and yep it still occurs with 3.4.0.24

Ah, yes, thanks @cartron for raising it. The fix didn’t make it into 3.4.0 I’m afraid, so it’ll be the next release at the earliest.

I actually just tested to create a new recurring event on google calendar that is not in the main calendar and its not even syncing that new event. So hard to create a clean test. :slight_smile:
