Fahrplan thread

Announcing version 2.0.54 with the generous contribution of an Italian Backend, TrentinoTrasporti, by @ilpianista Thanks!

Up on github, coming to chum. harbour will take some time (sigh) but openrepos will be done as soon as the certificate is updated.

The search for the bahn.de backend is broken for me. When I begin to type, results appear that do not correspond to my search (e.g. streets named after “Theodor Heuss” even though I didn’t type that) and they stay until I re-open Fahrplan.

Tested versions: 2.0.53-1, 2.0.54-1.41.1.bso

May I ask, what did you type? Even if I type ‘Oasing’ instead of ‘Pasing’ I still get München Pasing as the first result…

So, about a week later, the search works again.

My query would reveal pretty closely where I live, so I don’t want to share it. But on July 20th, regardless of what I typed, on WiFi or on mobile data, seemingly random results would pop up after just one letter was entered. And they would not change, until Fahrplan was re-opened. Truly mysterious.

It seems that Matka.fi is still broken. On GitHub there was a screenshot of it working on June, but the latest version 2.0.53 from OpenRepos doesn’t return any results.

Yes, I believe that I nuked that by doing a premature merge on a contribution. I’ll see if I can revert that. EDIT: @Thaodan was this the result of that premature merge I did?

EDIT: it’s a bit more complicated. The newer apis need an api key.

Hmm.. Would a general one do (hard coded), or is it much of a dev work to ask the user for one? I have no idea about getting one or rate limits, if there are any.

I think @Thaodan has it covered. It’s in progress.

Thanks a lot! (Char limit, etc.)

Very nice, I would love to see support for the BVG then it would be extremely handy for me, but I guess DB includes this more or less too

More AFAIK.

Yes the PR was merged to early where it’s functional but cleanup is needed.

Some refactoring and minor fixes are left.

I haven’t had time to get to it yet.
