Double unlocking on startup

Hello, I recently installed SailfishOS on a Sony Xperia 10 III. I installed it over Android 13 with the 11 binaries, as recommended elsewhere on this forum. I notice that when I boot up the phone, I enter my security code once, the screen goes black for 20-30 seconds, comes back on, then I have to enter it again to actually enter the OS. I’m not sure if this is intended behaviour or not, so I wanted to check here if this should be submitted as a bug report.

First one is for the encryption of the file system, so yes, everything is like intended

Yes it’s normal behavior :
First it is to boot on the encrypted partition, second is to open session.

The second unlock becomes unnecessary later on if you have fingerprint unlock set up.

Or you can deactivate the pin requirement. So you just get asked to enter the code once for the encryption…

No. The first unlock has only be done one time at boot time, and the second PIN has to be entered one time after booting at first login. From second unlock until next shutdown (or crash  ) PIN can be replaced by fingerprint, so FP or PIN both work.
