Hey,
here and then i am faced with an issue that can’t be solved by a normal reboot. Recently i had the strange behavior that the wlan connect button lost its function. The only way to change wlan was by switching through the settings menu. So i tried deep reboot (vol up + power) until there are the three vibrition signs, the device rebooted and everything was fine. By the way this raised the questions to me, where the difference to a normal reboot is. I do not know something like this in any device except Sailfish OS. Does anybody know what technically happens in both cases?
Thanks in advance an best regards
Lukas
My money is on that it is imagined or coincidence.
There is no deep reboot. That is brutal power down.
Can you elaborate? Or have you already created a bug report? I have experienced something similar since the last update.
Or, doesn’t this
The only way to change wlan was by switching through the settings menu.
mean that you managed to fix the issue without a reboot?
Not necessarily, some things survive normal reboot that do get cleared by forceful shutdown, don’t remember what was exactly in my case that got stuck (either wifi or bt I think, can’t remember), but multiple nomal reboots didn’t help and the three vibration one with vol button held actually helped
Yeah, rarely microcontroler or microprocessor got stuck somehow. Or maybe initialization procedure is sloppy.
My recommendation is still a shutdown in such case.
