Charging happens in kernel control i.e. it should work as long as cable is connected and charger detected. And - especially in case of wall chargers - sailfishos user space sw is not really involved except for notifications and such.

Which basically means a) if it has worked before, sw changes are unlikely to have caused the issue b) hw problems such as broken cables / incompatible chargers should be ruled out first -> try different cable / charger and see if the problem still persists.

Or, if you have enabled persistent journal and recall when one/more of these things happened -> there should be some events logged around each cable connect time (e.g. journalctl -a | grep battery-udev) -> one could check if there are any differences between when charging worked vs not.
