AppSupport Bluetooth feedback thread

Thanks, but my BankID is working perfectly fine on my X10III. The problem is that I’m unable to move it or new create it to a new phone… and ICA bank doesn’t have offices.

Could you please keep NFC out of this thread? No need to contribute to noice in this thread describing activating BankID in that way here which is well documented elsewhere.

As far as I got it AppSupport Bluetooth just needs AppSupport itselt, it unrelated to MicroG.

Okay, one thing less to think about, when trying to get Bluetooth with Android working. Then I just need to figure out the other settings needed to get it working.

Just download then bt-appsupport from jollashop. ( and you neeto be on 5.1). then allow the bt -android support from bt-menu.

Thank you! That is what I have done, but it does not work. Maybe it’s my phone, an Xperia 10 II that’s the problem. I will make a new post about this, to see, if there is anyone else, that have had success with Polar Flow and Polar H10.

Did you do the reboot as described on the bt-appsupport store entry?

I switched the device off, waited a while and then started it again.

Sure it is not the Google ASHA protocol, which has never been licensed even for basic Android devices? But then audio wouldn’t work on SFOS either

My Garmin devices are working, and I can now control EQ Settings of my Dockin speakers using their Android software.

The highlights are my Unitron/Sonova AG hearing aids.

Sometimes a control is not there. Swiping on the desktop and back helps. Everything happens in real time. Tested whilst listening to music with SFOS Apps

I got the Pebble 2 Duo working with the official android app.

Everything except the calendar but thats a known sfos issue.

How and to whom should I send an error report? E-mail adress or other means?

In general you should check for existing posts at the Bug Reports -section of the forums and if you don’t find any, then make a new post, but if your issue is related to AppSupport Blutooth Bridge, you can post your issues in this topic.

Settup of an Anker Solarbattery via bluetooth worked right away.
Connecting to my Forumslader (mobile charging solution for biket ravellers), too. Great.
My old Android kitkat phone just got obsolet.

JK BMS Bluetooth connection working now with C2. Had some troubles getting bluetooth turned on after update and Bt app installation, but a phone reboot and Bt sub-system reboot from Jolla helper app resolved issue.

After unpaired and remove devices on each parts (Xperia 10ii and VW car) and paires again, it’s works well again !
Sorry for noise !

This feature is fantastic! Thanks to all that were involved to make this a reality!

I currently use it with Jabra Evolve2 65 and Pebble Time 2 (F2F2). So I have audio in Sailfish and use the Android Pebble application at the same time.

THANK YOU :+1:

It is perfectly works with the my Kingsong’s wheel. The version of the Kingson’s application is ‘v4.9.80 (236)’ on my Sony Experia III.

Thank for this improvement

I use a smartphone under ‘e/OS’ only for the Kingsong’s application, now I can use only my Sony Xperia III.

Jolla C2, Pebble Companion App:

Connection between Pebble Time 2 and the companion app works, but after some time the connection is lost and cannot be established again (companion app running all the time with background services started). Turning bluetooth off/on in Sailfish OS and restarting the companion app solves this (for some time).

Some quick testing so far:

  • Meta AI: Used to connect with my Meta Raybans. I am able to pair over Bluetooth, however Meta AI will then attempt to scan for WiFi networks and gets stuck on I’m guessing never getting any results. So…technically works, this is the bluetooth testing after all! (Just the end result is unfortunately still non-functional. Good start though.)
  • Segway Ninebot: Tapping to pair with scooter just goes to a black screen :person_shrugging: Not gonna blame Jolla on that one, the Ninebot app isn’t great even on my Pixel.
  • Canon Camera Connect: I had to install bluez5-tools and turn on scanning (scan le) through that instead for it to successfully pair. Without that, launching while the camera was in pairing mode would show the device to pair with, but the process would fail (you’d never get a notification to pair with it).
    • However, all relevant features then want to leverage WiFi (photo transfer, live view, etc.) since the bandwidth of BT isn’t sufficient and similar to Meta AI, just never seem to be able to pick up the active wifi network nor can it be controlled via AppSupport (probably for the best).

Will re-test and try to get some isolated logs for those the above. Not really sure if some of them are sending some magic packets to try to communicate what WiFI network to connect to, when it is up from the device, etc. Probably something I’d have to use Wireshark or similar for, to get out of my comfort zone a bit.

My Segway-Ninebot scooter (F40i) paired with the Segway app on my Xperia 10iii after a couple tries, it was the first thing I tried after installing AppSupport™ BluetoothSupport™.
