App Support crashes while using Android Apps

REPRODUCIBILITY:
OS VERSION: 5.0.0.76 / 5.0.0.77
HARDWARE: X10 III
UI LANGUAGE:DE

DESCRIPTION:

App Support crashes while using Android Apps. While typing more or less text eg. in a signal chat app support crashes. Immediate crashes if an emoji is entered. The bug occured intially shortly after the changeover to daylight saving time while the device was not in use.

PRECONDITIONS:

App support started, apps like Firefox, Molly or Signal installed

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Open app like Signal
2. open any chat
3. start typing
4. while typing more or less text the appsupport crashes and restarts

EXPECTED RESULT:

Not chrashing

ACTUAL RESULT:

App support chrashes and restarts

MODIFICATIONS:

MicroG is installed

Android App Support crashes after starting because VM runs out of heap

I’m having similar issues on two X10iii devices (5.0.0.76). On one device, App Support keeps restarting in a loop. On the other, the issue occurs when using apps such as Firefox or Molly. The problems appeared virtually overnight. The solutions described here in this thread and in the forum have not been successful.
