Android Postbank Banking App (BestSign) not launchable

The BestSign App of the Postbank is no longer usable since version 2.x. So far I have helped myself with the old version 1.9.x. Due to a carelessness I had executed an update. A downgrade brought no success, because I can no longer log in to the old app. This is probably blocked by the Postbank.

The current app (2.9.x) hangs on startup with a yellow screen. Is there a workaround? After you already can not get packages from the new Packstations (Bluetooth connection does not work), this is the next app from the range of the Post in Germany that no longer works.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to use Sailfish without a second phone.

4.5.0.24

Which device are you using?

I was able to reproduce this behavior with Xperia 10 III on 4.5.0.24 and the latest 2.9.x version of BestSign app. The app starts but seems to hang with only the yellow background visible. I tried to give some more permissions for the app as well with no luck. BestSign is also marked requiring Google Play Services at Aurora Store when displaying the app. Do you have Google Play Services or MicroG installed?

At the same time when starting the app I noticed that journalctl logs had these library missing warnings, not sure if these help though

Some banking apps I have used use webview. A few recently updated android apps I use, which use webview, do not work anymore (blank screen, major functionality issues etc).

A Sony XA2, Play services are installed according to Aptoide.

I found these files at an Android open source project. As well as some files that have already been requested even here in the forum.
I am afraid that in the foreseeable future the app will be executable.
I think that here again the end of support was initiated. It is now already the second app in a short time no longer or only conditionally usable.

I read in an Android forum that the error also occurs with Lineage. Possibly again a root problem.
It hardly makes sense to use Sailfish in normal life.

I used the bestsign app without problems till the update to sailfish 4.6.0.13 (sauna). After the update, bestsign flashes shortly and then disappears again. I tried to make an update to the latest version, but it didn’t help. Probably it makes things worse due to the discussion above. I tried to install an old version again. But it is not possible. Error: downgrade not possible. Any ideas how to procede? I really need the app :fearful:

I could no longer get the bestsign app to work. The attempt to install an older version failed because Postbank requested an update of the app when I logged in.
I now have a tablet with classic Android. Otherwise you are logged out of the world. I’m not hopeful that Sailfish will be able to catch up in this area.
