Alien Dalvik (8.1) display refresh glitch, observed with K9

UI LANGUAGE: na
REGRESSION: from AD 4.4.4 to 8.1: yes

DESCRIPTION:

Display doesn’t change to new menu without peeking.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open K9
  2. select account/inbox
  3. tap on menu (lower right corner, 3 vertical dots)
  4. tap settings
  5. tap account settings
  6. tap folders
  7. now peek…

EXPECTED RESULT:

App moves to new menu/screen/level without having to peek, as it happens on AD 4.4.4 (Xperia X)

ACTUAL RESULT:

Menus/screen/level stays the same. When peeking, it moves to the new menu/screen/level.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Confirmed that on a second XA2 just after flashing. So, no chance to mess up stuff.
  • Reporting this in the hope to help people out till this is fixed…

What do you mean with “peak”? Just curious…

Peek, not peak. Edge swipe a litle to see the homescreen.

I can confirm similiar experiemce with OpenCamera and its videosettings. Going into seconds is still working but as sson as you go into subsettings the display does not refresh and setting anything in opencamera is almost impossible

For me chaging from portrait to landscape or vice versa updates view. Not very user friedly but you can change settings at least if app doesn’t crash while turning phone. For scrolling you have to do it blindly be for turning phone to update view. :sweat_smile:
