Currently, one can only disable the word-suggestions by uninstalling the app for that (according to the documentation), which is not well discoverable. I found this information while looking for references for this feature-request, but before i found it, i thought that it was simply not an available option. An on-/off-switch in the text-input-settings, for word-suggestions, would be useful.
