[4.5.0.16] Mobile Internet broken

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 4.5.0.16
HARDWARE: Sony XA2
UI LANGUAGE: German
REGRESSION: No

DESCRIPTION:

Mobile Internet isn’t working at all. Tested on XA2:

In settings it says “activated”.

Top bar shows “3G” and the normal signal bar, but the symbol for mobile Internet is missing.

PRECONDITIONS:

Phone at 4.5.0.16

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Update to 4.5.0.16 then try anything like the following:

  • ping from Terminal
  • sailfish-browser
  • android browser
  • whatsapp

EXPECTED RESULT:

Usable mobile Internet

ACTUAL RESULT:

No mobile Internet connection

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

I was only able to test 3G and 2G.

Maybe this is the same issue as described at SFOS 4.5 feedback thread - #191 by pemek

Could you please add your mobile data settings(apn, protocol…) and which provider you use in which country. Was mobile data working before the uodate to 4.5?

Your questions were enough of a hint to get this resolved, thank you.

I found I had to remove the pre-defined “adslmovil” and instead set the APN to antel.lte.

I clicked “solution” at my recent comment. Is that what you meant?

Are settings like APN coded into the OS or do they come from somewhere else?
