[4.1.0.23][4.0.1.45][XA2] Search not working in People tab in phone tab

BUILD ID = OS VERSION (Settings > About product): 4.0.15 – Edit/jovirkku: no such version ID → 4.0.1.45
HARDWARE (Jolla1, Tablet, XA2,…): XA2
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?): Yes

DESCRIPTION:

Sometimes Keyboard not opening on clicking search in People tab of Phone app

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open Phone app
  2. Navigate to People tab
  3. Select search field

EXPECTED RESULT:

Keyboard shown for searching contacts

ACTUAL RESULT:

Nothing happening other than blinking cursor in search field

I cannot confirm this issue - on my XA2 and the my Xperia 10 (both with 4.0.1.45) the keyboard appears and I can search in the people’s tab of the phone app.

Does your virtual keyboard appear at all? If not, you could restart home screen with Sailfish utilities

I can confirm this issue. In my XA2 whit 4.0.1.45, the keyboard dont appears

Thanks @JoOppen . So it happens occasionally . Restarting home screen or phone fixes the issue temporarily .

I have the same bug. Os version 4.0.1.48. Virtual keyboard bug is all around the Phone app eg. create new contact and no virtual keyboard for input. At the same time in People app I have virtual keyboard on add new contact. Restarting home screen fixes the issue.

@jovirkku This issue has been marked as resolved in 4.1.0.23. But I am still facing this issue in XA2 running 4.1.0.23.

This issue is still in effect on 4.1
