[3.4.0.24] Calendar with NextCloud sync did not work when date has repetition

DESCRIPTION:

Create a new Calendar entry on NextCloud with repetition (e.g. monthly -> every third Monday until -> finish after 12 repetitions).

PRECONDITIONS:

Sync: both directions
Other Calendar entries sync well.
Also Contacts and Backup work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Create a new Calendar entry on NextCloud with repetition (e.g. monthly -> every third Monday until -> finish after 12 repetitions).
  2. Try to sync Calendar on device via Settings -> NextCloud Account -> Sync Calendar
  3. Look at Calendar -> no entry

EXPECTED RESULT:

Entry should be synced and shown for the whole livetime.

ACTUAL RESULT:

No Entry at Caendar

Sorry did not find any Information about an error during sync, but may be i did not find the correct log file :frowning:.

I’ve made calendar entries with repetitions (of the type not possible on sfos) with NC and they sync ok. But I have noticed that sometimes all day events screw things up and now I try to avoid them. Is this your case?

This is not the problem i have.
My Settings is sync both directions and twice a day.
I create on NC two entries with repetitions.
One on third Monday at 18:30. It should repeat the whole year (12x) every month.
The second on last Friday at 19:30. It also should repeat the whole year every month.
Both entries are not shown on my phones (and tablet).
Not as single (start date) entry and not the following repetitions.
I also try to sync manually on then account setting and on calendar.

Entries with single dates (without repetitions) work fine.

What entries did you create? Monthly, weekly, daily, … ?

On my setting i did not have other calendar problems (as you describe above).

My experience of repeated entries was every third day. I tried every third wednesday and you’re right, nothing happened on the phone, looked ok on NC.

If you can, could you follow the instruction on tis wiki : https://sailfishos.org/wiki/CalDAV_and_CardDAV_Community_Contributions#Sync_Logs to get the debug logs ?

Here some additional information (thanks to @dcaliste for the logging hint).
I created two entries first one with monthly iteration and the second without.
On the first one i see an additional 'RRULE’ entry with the monthly iteration.
The first entry is not shown on the SailfishOS calendar the second works fine …
